Materials

A choice for every budget

Make the right choice using materials to suit all budgets. Find out more about each material by expanding the sections below

• Vinyl
  

  Multi-use Self Adhesive Vinyl. The high tack nature of this material means it can be secured to almost any surface, and it will even work when applied to walls painted with latex-based paints.

  The vinyl can be pushed to mould into crevices such as the gaps between tiles, meaning a seamless, eye-catching result is achieved. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It's also a great choice for permanent door signs or where signage needs to go on glass (please note it is grey backed).

• Foamex
  

  Foamex is a superior quality, extremely versatile PVC foam sheet that is extremely popular for use in signage.

  It is easy to work with and can be nailed, screwed or riveted to surfaces with ease. It can also be mounted with double sided sticky pads for easy removal.

  It is softer than Dibond, has no sharp edges and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

  A very popular choice for door signs due to its pleasant appearance and price.

• Dibond
  

  Dibond consists of two thin sheets of Aluminium enclosing a Polyethylene core. Suitable for a vast range of applications, they are lightweight but strong and the extremely flat surface is great for printing high quality graphics or text.

  Dibond can be nailed, screwed or riveted to surfaces with ease and can also be mounted with double sided sticky pads for easy removal. Harder wearing than Foamex and suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

  A very popular choice for communication boards due to its hardy nature.

• Acrylic
  

  A hardwearing, transparent material that is used in a diverse range of environments because it boasts low moisture absorption qualities, high resistance to chemicals and UV resistance.

  Our signs are made from 5mm glass clear acrylic with polished edges and full colour printed vinyl graphics applied to the reverse.

  Please let us know if you require predrilled holes in your signs, they will arrive without holes as standard. This is a premium product with a high-quality finish.

  Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

FAQs

• What is a purchase order (PO)?
  

  A purchase order (also referred to as a PO) is a contractual agreement between a purchaser and a supplier.

  It is a document that details the goods or services that the buyer has agreed to purchase and the terms of the purchase.

  It is usually a letterheaded document that states the following details:

  • Contact name
  • Company name
  • Invoicing address
  • Delivery Address
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Purchase Order reference/number
  • Description of your order
  • Total cost of your order

  You should speak to your finance/accounts department if you need assistance obtaining a Purchase Order in order to place an order with us.

• In which format should I send our logo?
  

  Ideally, a vector based format of your logo is the most suitable.

  This would be an SVG, EPS Illustrator file in most cases. High resolution JPGs or PNGs are also acceptable. It is your responsibility to ensure any artwork you want adding to the design is suitable for print.

  We will always do our best to advise you if something doesn’t look right.

• Do you provide installation?
  

  We do not normally provide installation as our signs are suitable for self installation. If you have a large project, we can range for a team to visit your site and install the signs. There would be an additional charge for this service based on the work involved and your location.

• Do you supply posts?
  

  We do not supply posts or backing boards.

• How long is delivery?
  

  Delivery normally takes around 7-10 working days before you receive your delivery.

  Please be aware that sometimes our printer can be very busy, so it might take a bit longer in some instances.

• Can I return my signs?
  

  We can only accept the return of faulty signs or signs damaged in transit.

• What should I do if my signs arrive damaged?
  

  Get in touch and we can look at what happened. We will need photographic evidence of the problem so we can determine the most appropriate solution.

• My signs have arrived and there is an error in the design, what should I do?
  

  It is particularly important that you check that artwork previews that will be sent to you prior to your signs being printed. Once you have signed off the artwork and the signs have gone to print, no further changes can be made. Replacements would be chargeable.

• Can I order bespoke sizes/shapes?
  

  We can provide bespoke signs. You would need to contact us with details of your exact requirements for us to provide a quote.

  The sizes listed here are the most popular and what we would recommend.

  Please be aware that bespoke sizes will be more expensive.

• Do you provide other materials?
  

  If you have something specific in mind, please contact the team with your requirements and we can see what solutions are available.

• I cannot find an answer to my question, what should I do?
  

  You can email the signage team on signage@widgit.com and someone will get back to you in due course. The studio can be very busy, so please be patient for a reply.
