Question Nothing is Installed after Restart

I have installed SymWriter 2 on my XP machine and after restarting I can't see any shortcuts or open the program.

Answer Solution

On some versions of XP the installer looks like it has finished and asks for the machine to be restarted but it actually needs to install a few more components after the restart to complete the installation. When you see the Setup Successful screen you must click Restart Now rather than close.

The installation should automatically restart, if it does not you need to:

  1. Navigate to the Installation CD.
  2. Go into the Autorun folder.
  3. Double click the Autorun.exe file.
