Understanding Cancer

A symbolised resource designed to help explain the topic of cancer to children, young people or adults

This resource explains how cancer can develop, and talks through some of the physical and emotional changes that a person with cancer may experience.

It also explores the impact of a cancer diagnosis on friends and family, and identifies the various emotions a person may experience when supporting a loved one through cancer.

The resource emphasises that if you are dealing with cancer, help is available and you are not alone; there are people and organisations ready to offer support.
