These symbols are based on the concept of a teacher using a whiteboard to demonstrate/explain to a group of people.

Think bubble

When representing personal thoughts/learning a thought bubble with the face is used. Arrows in or out show 'learn' or recall/remember and other elements are used in the bubble to qualify the thinking.

Other think bubbles

Particular thoughts have a qualifier within the thought bubble, some thoughts are represented by the thought bubble only as this leaves room for a larger more detailed qualifier e.g. calculate.
